The program at Walden University offers two online pathways: RN - BSN and RN - BSN - MSN . RN to BSN Program Highlights. Students take nursing courses from day one. Transfer up to 75% of your credits, or 135 of the 181 quarter credits required. Complete the RN - BSN degree in as little as 15 months with our 10 courses.The student seeks his or her own clinical placement in the community where he or she lives with a nurse practitioner preceptor who is not associated with the school and assumes the teaching role on a voluntary basis. Depending on the academic policies of the school, the said preceptor may need to be pre-approved.

Walden now has a Psych NP program. Specializes in Psychiatric, Spinal Cord Injury. I just saw on Walden University's website that they will offer a Psychiatric NP program starting in May. The school is expensive and for-profit, but it does offer another option.
